Fundamental Beliefs

  • I believe that setting healthy limits with ourselves and others is one of the keys to mental health.

  • A balance between compassion and responsibility leads to self-love.

  • It's human to want to be loved, to be accepted, to be admired and respected.

  • Our feelings are always valid, but they are not facts.

  • When we approach ourselves and others from a place of genuine curiosity, our judgements disappear.

  • We have no bad parts, we only have parts that are in pain and/or trying to protect us in the way they've learned worked in the past.

  • We all deserve compassion. We all deserve to be listened to. We all deserve to be loved.

MORE ABOUT ME

For the past 15 years, I have worked as a therapist in universities, multidisciplinary treatment centers, a psychiatric hospital unit, international schools, and private practice, supporting clients through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges across many levels of complexity and severity. My clients have included young children with behavioral difficulties, sensory processing disorders, Down syndrome, and autism, as well as adults with and without diagnoses, couples in crisis, and families navigating conflict, transition, or disconnection.

I began my professional career in the United States, where I earned dual degrees in Recreational Therapy and Sociology, and later continued working and studying in Singapore, France, Chile, and Spain. This international background has given me a deep appreciation and insight for cultural diversity, identity, and the unique challenges faced by individuals, couples, and multicultural families.

Currently, I am a Madrid-based bi-lingual Gestalt therapist. My multi-disciplinary approach includes the use of psychotherapy, EFT (emotional freedom tapping), Recreational Therapy, Family Constellations, Conscious Discipline, Systemic Therapy, NonViolent Communication, art, theater, and movement. I find that my professional career has been fueled by my insatiable curiosity about how people function, the connections I create through listening to people’s vulnerability, and discovering my own healing journey while helping others in their own journeys towards self-discovery, self-acceptance, and self-improvement.

Today, I am a bilingual Gestalt therapist based in Madrid, offering therapy in both English and Spanish. My integrative and multidisciplinary approach includes Gestalt psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), body-oriented therapy, therapy supported by altered states of consciousness, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), Recreational Therapy, Family Constellations, Systemic Therapy, Nonviolent Communication, Conscious Discipline, as well as creative modalities such as art, movement, and theater.

I find part of what makes my practice especially meaningful is my deeply humanistic approach. I believe healing happens through authentic connection, emotional safety, self-awareness, and compassion. Beyond techniques or diagnoses, I aim to meet each person as a whole human being—with their story, strengths, wounds, and potential for growth. My work is guided by genuine curiosity about how people function, the healing power of being truly heard, and the courage it takes to move toward change.
